Emulators are configured and accessed on the Systems / Emulators tab. This tab is not available if the underlying software is not available.
The first time a user selects this screen, an informational message is displayed if the limited version of the Emulator is in use. Additionally, a message is also displayed periodically near the end if the timed limited license period.
An emulator is defined by pressing the "Create New Emulator" button. A window is displayed where the user selects the type of emulator, connection information and descriptive labels.
An Internal Emulator is displayed within the PC MOMI client window. An External Emulator is launched in a separate browser
window.
The HostName/IP Address is the name/address of the Tandem host to connect the Emulator. Port 23 is the default for TELNET sessions.
The Name for this Emulator is a unique name for the Emulator button. An error message is displayed if the name already exists.
The Description is displayed at the bottom of an Emulator button.
Press the Create button to save and create the Emulator launch button.
An Emulator may be deleted by right clicking on the button.
